“It is unknown to us if the Galactic Highway is a natural phenomenon. Its structure, and the substance it is formed of, is observed nowhere else in the known universe; its existence seems almost too convenient for us beings incapable of travelling the vacuum of space. An unmappable network of floating, immovable, and peculiarly pink roads, perfectly suited to be traversed by foot, or by any vehicle with traction, with extreme speed. If only we had discovered it before our planets had died. How marvellous they must have been, the true titans of our universe. But most of them are gone. Now, it is our fate to wander, and hope we can build something new, out among the graves.”
A short story about intergalactic drifter Sunshine and her travels as she looks for Home, and sorts out her stuff along the way. Third in the series.
She Shines
Emi, an exuberant member of the spectacular Star Patrol, is sent to the glitzy and seedy asteroid town Arcade in search of a mysterious drifter. But things quickly get complicated when she feels a rift between her and her partner grow, and old anxieties creep in.

Just finished She Shines. Awesome. The last two were great too but the emotional core in this one really hits you. I was invested in Emi pretty much immediately and it pays off. Also, I liked the fight in the garage, it's hard, at least for me, to put together an action scene that hits hard and is still easy to follow, but you nailed it. So good. Consider me a fan.
